Taurus Horoscope for September 2010

More than most, you've been through quite a bit in matters of the heart in recent years. Your trials started in September 2007 when Saturn entered your fifth house of true love, in a kind of astrological oxymoron. I say that because the fifth house rules leisure, fun, and romance, but Saturn always prefers you work, not play, so this aspect was giving you mixed messages.

Saturn is also fond of setting up life lessons so that we learn from experience. For example, you may have had to cope with an enforced separation, possibly through no fault of your own. Challenges in love came by sometime between September 2007 and July 2010, but when Saturn left this difficult position, you were done. You didn't feel immediate relief however, for you needed a key new moon in this very same part of your chart, so you had to be patient for the right one to come.

That long awaited new moon is here. It will arrive on September 8, and for the first time since 2007, you won't have Saturn near the new moon to spoil the pudding. This is very important - after hosting this tough love planet for three years in your sector of romance and fun, now that Saturn has left, he won't be back to this house until 2036. You have learned a great deal about love and now you can put it into practice. If you are single and looking for love, this is your moment, and you must promise to be out and about, circulating. Rarely have you had a chance like this to meet the one who truly feels like a soul mate.

If you are married or attached, Saturn in Virgo from September 2007 to July 2010 was not likely to have affected you in your love relationship, because the fifth house does not affect marriage. Instead, you may have worried about one of your children. Or, you may have delayed having a child, or had problems conceiving a child. If you had a baby, you may have found the adjustment to parenthood difficult at first. Now all these possibilities are behind you.

The barriers to true love will be lifted, giving you so many reasons to be optimistic. If you had trouble getting along with one of your children, you will find your relationship will now steadily improve. You truly are looking at the start of a new era, for Saturn is not due back to this part of your chart anytime soon.

Your first fun night will come on September 4, when Venus, your ruler, will dance with Neptune and bring glamour and stardust to your evening. This is a night to hear music - perhaps to get tickets to a very special band, or a smaller band in your neighborhood. Or, have dinner in a beautiful setting, and if it's warm, outdoors, possibly near water.

The new moon on September 8 will fall in your house of true love and bring your social life into focus. This is the start of something, and you should put a circle around this date and the two weeks that follow. At the new moon, Venus in your house of commitment will be in perfect angle to Pluto, boding well for an important and serious development to come up in your relationship.

Those born on or within five days of May 7 will be outstandingly supported by this new moon, but I feel every Taurus will have something to celebrate.

Mercury, which happens to be the natural ruler of your fifth house of true love, will also be in great angle to Pluto. This tells me that you should look forward, not back, for your future with one special someone seems to be unfolding beautifully before your eyes. Don't let anything that has disappointed you in the past hold you back. Friends will prove trustworthy and supportive too, so this month will certainly have a lighter feel than most you've seen this year.

Transiting Mercury will be retrograde in your house of true love from September 1 to 12, so during the first half of the month, you'll be moving slowly and cautiously, especially when it comes to matters of the heart. You seem to be deliberating about a relationship or pregnancy, or how to best care for one of your children. Don't push yourself to make a final answer - it will come in time.

If you are undecided, it likely means you don't have enough information, so wait until you do have it - you will know intuitively when you do. Once you have it all, you will suddenly feel calm, and you'll know your answer like you know your name. After Mercury goes direct, September 12, I feel you will have a clearer picture - enlightenment may come later, but it won't come before.

Mars will light your seventh house of partnership from September 14 to October 28, so if you are dating seriously, you will have plenty of time to talk and decide whether you are ready now to get engaged, possibly in time for the upcoming holidays like Thanksgiving in the United States, or New Year's Eve. If you are not dating you may be thinking instead about a relationship with someone in business. In this case, you will be talking about signing papers, but you need to wait until the second half of the month to do so due to Mercury retrograde. That would be a good time to make things official.

There is another reason things seem to bode well for the formation of a commitment in either love or business. Pluto will turn direct on September 14, and that planet rules your solar seventh house of relationships. Pluto also is associated with money, so the relationship is likely to be stable and prosperous, and even if the alliance is not for business, that's good news for a couple, too!

Next month, Venus will retrograde from October 8 to November 18, and because Venus is your ruling planet, it means that this will not be your best time to initiate any major moves. You need your guardian planet to be strong, not weak, when you put the pieces of a key plan into place. Venus may rule love and fun, profit and luxury, but Venus means much more to Taurus and Libra than those qualities, because Venus governs these signs.

This is a long way of saying you must aim to make the second half of September as productive as can be, for Venus will be out of phase until November 18. On the heels of that date, Mercury will go retrograde again through all of December. Mama mia! (These little planets are certainly not making my job any easier, that's for sure - this is a mess!)

When Mercury, the planet of communication, transportation, negotiation, and contracts, retrogrades, we find we need to go back to some of our previously made decisions to fix them. If we take a job or form a partnership, for example, things don't work out precisely as planned. We change our mind, we become forgetful - lots of things happen - but it all adds up to a bit of pandemonium. When you initiate a venture, you are setting up its birth, so you always want the "ingredients" to that day's event to be as sterling as can be, for the date you choose to initiate anything affects it for the life of that endeavor or relationship, years into the future.

This means you will have to be poised to get your most pressing matters initiated and holiday shopping done in the second half of September, first week of October, or from November 19 to 30 for best results. Those are your most potent periods for success on just about every front. (Please don't buy presents in December! Get this done in November!)

Jupiter will move back to Pisces this month from September 9 to January 22, 2011. This is going to be near-miraculous news for you, for Jupiter, giver of gifts and luck, will be back in your eleventh house of friendships, people, and events, and that means new friendships and acquaintances.

You may even have a chance to capture a long-held desire. The eleventh house is associated with hopes and dreams, and so something you've long wanted, spiritual or material, may come to you now. Those born late in the sign, near May 17 - 20, will do best from Jupiter, but you may have planets in late degrees of earth or water. If so, you too will find this month and months ahead to be outstanding for your social life and for the fulfillment of something you've wanted so long - you thought it would never come.

Earlier, near September 7 or close to this date, Saturn will hit a degree that will form a 90-degree angle to the mathematical degree of the eclipse of June 26. This is an important point, and may bring up a legal matter that needs to be addressed or a contract that has to be signed soon. (Don't sign until after September 13!) Also watch these areas: news from siblings, matters related to deals overseas, or upcoming travel to any point, near or far. You may have heard news in June near that time, but if you didn't. you may hear something now. (If you did hear news already in June or July, you will now see the same matter advance to a new level.)

At the office, Mars' presence suggests there will be many projects to do, and due to too few co-workers or subordinates to help out, a lot of the projects' work will fall to you. This is a signature of transiting Saturn in the sixth house along with Mars there too, so do your best, confident that as soon as Mars moves into Scorpio on September 14, life will calm down considerably and you'll have more time for yourself.

After a busy month seeing people and going places, you may be in need of hanging back and treating yourself to rest at the full moon September 23.

You may also be privy to a secret someone tried to hide from you that comes out of nowhere, but that you do have to pay attention to in order to protect yourself. There's only a small chance this part will happen - I mention it to raise your antenna in case this fits your life.

This full moon comes with the propensity for many other possible outcomes, too. On one hand, the moon will be very close to Jupiter, a bountiful and generous influence that is protective in the way a guardian angel would be. You may not even be aware of the help you are getting behind the scenes, but it appears to be there.

Because this new moon is at zero degrees Aries, it's possible you'll be going to a gala social event, but only if you were born near the end of your sign, near May 19 or 20 or so.

This is a complex full moon however, because at the same time Saturn will be very close to the Sun, to make a full conjunction later that week, September 30. This could bring a serious decision or weighty news of an impending change in your domestic condition or in regard to a male family member by month's end. You may get clues of what is coming near September 23 plus or minus four days, but the news actually hits by September 30.

Another day that makes my least-favorite list is September 21, well within the circle of the full moon, when the Sun and Uranus will be at 180-degree angles. This suggests something unexpected is likely to come up regarding a real estate or family matter, so brace for it as best you can.

In a month that seems to have everything, there is one day I just love - September 18, when Jupiter and Uranus will combine forces and Mars will send friendly greetings to Pluto. Socially, this Saturday gets a "10" in my book. It's filled with surprise, luck, power, and energy. Use it to the fullest, dear Taurus!

Your best romantic dates: September 4, 8, 11, 12, 16, 17, and 26.

Summary

The month will start off calmly. A lovely interplay between Venus and Neptune could bring quite a romantic interlude on September 4. If you are going away on a trip large or small, this could mark a special moment for your love life.

September 8 brings the new moon in your true love sector, and now taskmaster Saturn has finally departed from this area of your chart for good, not to return for nearly three decades. Now you'll have a superb chance to enjoy a more stable relationship, possibly with someone new. By all means, after September 8, plan to amp up your socializing - your chances of meeting someone interesting are truly excellent.

If you are attached, Venus' move into Scorpio and your committed partnership sector on September 8 will brighten your interaction with your steady sweetheart or spouse. Venus will stay in this area of your chart for the rest of the year, which is extraordinary.

In weeks to come your love could grow and deepen. Venus and Mars won't actually meet in precise conjunction until early October, but as they move closer, with each passing day you will notice your relationship improving, and the appreciation for the "you" inside you will deepen within your partner.

Admittedly, even with these lovely vibrations life won't always be a garden of earthly delights. Expect turbulence to show up first on or near September 21 when Uranus will oppose the Sun. A friend, lover, or authority figure may suddenly become a source of woe. What happens will be so unexpected that you will barely have a chance to craft a reaction.

Keep your health strong, for you may feel depleted as you get closer to September 30, the day when Saturn will conjoin the Sun, a very draining aspect. A prominent man near you may become ill or depressed, or suddenly have to deal with a crisis. Save your strength, for everyone will be looking to you for answers. At the end of September, a lot will be demanded from you. Take it slow and easy, and keep your schedule free and open.

Romance could be heavenly on September 4.

Best romantic dates: September 4, 8, 11, 12, 16, 17, and 26.

On September 7 Saturn will reach a mathematical degree that will trigger a point related to lunar eclipse of last June 26. Watch for news related to a legal matter, a matter involving a sibling, or one involving the media, immigration, or having to do with people overseas. With crosscurrents confusing, make sure you are hearing what is being said and not what you assume you are being told.

The new moon September 8 in your romantic sector will be simply divine - use it by circulating and be optimistic. It's the best you've seen in a long time.

Your intuition will be very sharp on September 18 and your social life will shine.

September 21 could be a difficult day for love, relationships, creativity - it's a day to hide a bit.

Mercury goes direct in your true love zone September 12 after having been retrograde since August 20. From mid-month on, you'll look ahead, not back.

Things get even better on September 8 when the new moon in your fifth house love sector will start a brand new cycle for your romantic life.

Venus in Scorpio will help those who are attached from September 8 through the rest of the year, for you will find all the right words to say. Mars will help love along once he enters Scorpio, too, on September 14 until October 28. For those attached, the signs are clear - things are looking up.

Venus will retrograde from October 8 to November 18 - avoid that period for big initiations. Make the second half of September count, and the days from November 18 to 30.

December brings Mercury retrograde all month. Shop on the dates listed above for best results with special gifts like a computer or jewelry (or anything expensive).

Someone you know could be hospitalized or depressed or face a crisis near September 23. You may feel depleted, too, so take it easy.
