Pisces Horoscope for December 2008

Exciting career progress will be evident as December opens. Mars will be shining a brilliant beacon of light in your reputation and career sector, making you quite the celebrity in your company or industry. Mars is now in a rare visit to your tenth house of honors, awards, achievement, and fame, so any career spot you win or special publicity you receive would represent a big advancement in your stature. You will be noticed now, and although as a Pisces you are often shy about being in the limelight, try to enjoy it this time - you've worked hard and earned the rewards you are getting now.
You've not seen professional acclaim similar to this in two years, because it's been that long since Mars last visited this house. You are now about to start a new professional cycle, and your prospects for success in 2009 and 2010 could not be better.
If you want a promotion, ask your boss for one now when you are most likely to get it. Even if you think your ambitions are fairly obvious, it would be worth talking over your future in the firm with your boss now.
If you have been (or will be) interviewing for a new job elsewhere, you will impress VIPS - keep the faith! Some jobs take weeks or month to finalize. What matters is that you begin the interview process now. If you had a major interview for an important position at the end of November, your timing was perfect and chances are that this particular opportunity will be offered to you. If you have not had any talks, try to schedule an interview for a new job immediately.
If you are self-employed, as December opens, present ideas and pitch new business - you have a wonderful chance of winning approvals. Praise from present clients should be strong and flattering. Whether you are employed by others or work for yourself, you also have a good change of being written up in the press, and when you read what was written about you, you will be pleased. Life can't always be this sweet, so when planets are THIS cooperative, take full advantage. It is so rare to see the kind of planetary power you have this month!
The first week of December will be your strongest for these types of career matters, thanks to the appearance of a key new moon that fell on November 29 and that still will be exerting a strong energy flow as the month opens. As you move farther and farther away from the new moon of November 29, you begin to lose light. Take your first steps early on.
December offers you special advantages for another reason. This is the only month of all of 2008 that holds no retrograde planets. (In 2007, there were actually no months that held this remarkable advantage.)
A retrograde planet is a sleeping planet, and one that is not emitting its best and brightest light. We depend on the strong, robust energy of each planet to help us navigate our way through life, and when we are without it, we find that things don't fit together quickly and easily. This month is rare in that all planets will be marching to the same quick-paced tune!
Any activity goes better when planets move at strong, direct orbit as they will this month. While it is true that Saturn will turn retrograde on December 31, this barely "counts" because it is unlikely that you will be doing anything of vital importance on this day, when most people have at least part of the day off. For all practical purposes, December will be your ideal month to move ahead with vigor!
When Uranus in Pisces turned to direct speed late last month on November 27, it marked an important and happy turning point for you. Uranus, the planet of surprise and creativity, has been retrograde for the past five months, since mid-June, but now will be in the right position to help you. Uranus will not turn retrograde again until July 1, 2009, and that is more than enough time to for you to make a success of your mission. When a major planet turns direct and is in your sign, that's major news. You should see a quickening pace and lots of progress on goals both personal and professional, at long last!
Now we need to talk about a monster full moon due December 12. I bring it up only so that you will be prepared and not feel suddenly broadsided by events.
This full moon will emphasize your family and home life. Uranus will oppose that full moon, so you are likely to have news come up that you would never have expected. Keep your cell phone powered up, and have your office, friends, and family aware of your general schedule should anyone need to find you.
There are many ways this full moon may play out, and I will offer a few of the many possibilities. Your landlord may announce he has sold the building and all the tenants have to vacate their apartments within a short time. Your roommate may suddenly announce she's moving out soon to get married. You may have a problem with the building's structure - the roof may leak or the electricity may be faulty - and you will need to get things fixed pronto. Whatever news you receive, it appears not to be something you were expecting to hear.
Alternatively, you may become concerned about the welfare or health of your mother, father, or grandparent, or even your own physical state.
No matter what comes up, news may temporarily make you feel kicked off kilter. Be careful not to have too much on your plate between December 10 and 15. I realize that is easy to say, but not that easy to follow at holiday time. Your quick attention will be needed to deal with whatever comes up, however, so keep that in mind. Full moons don't just deliver news, but almost always require a response, too.
With Uranus and Saturn both sending harsh vibes to that full moon and Pluto in wide mathematical degree in opposition, it will seem that everyone will need you at once. Your career will be quite demanding then too, and a partner (whether in business or personally) will not know how to help you, and may actually wind up becoming more of the problem than the solution.
Your friends will be gems, however, so if you need support or advice, you can rely on them wholeheartedly with the knowledge they will have your best interests in mind. You won't have many options, so facing the reality of the situation will be the first step. Having said that, there always are more options than the ones you see initially. Keep thinking and playing with the challenge, for you will see more possibilities as you look. With Mercury in fine position to other planets in the last week of December, an idea may come up that proves to be workable and the very best solution. You may wonder why you didn't think of it sooner.
Protect your health all month, particularly at the time of the full moon, December 12 plus or minus three days. Don't do anything that would bring harm to bones or teeth. For example, perhaps that would not be the time to go skiing. Try to remain calm at this time, too - your nerves may be frayed, and you may feel like too many demands and too much news is being hurled at you at once. It will be a draining time, so plan to eat right and get enough sleep to cope.
If your birthday falls on March 11 or within five days of this date, try to take advice to heart. I am so sorry to report it could turn out to be a trying time.
Fortunately a full moon will require a swift response, with almost no time to deliberate. You will announce your plans and move forward. I am glad this full moon does not occur any later in the month, for everyone, of every sign, will get a chance to regroup and calm down in time to enjoy the holiday.
Now, here's the sweetest surprise of the month - the loving collection of six planets in highly compatible Capricorn to fill your house of friendship, events, and fun. Once you get to December 21 when the Sun enters Capricorn, your whole mood will lift and you'll soon see a truly dazzling holiday is in store for you.
Mercury rules your house of home, and throughout the last third of the month, Mercury will be in fine conversation with a number of powerful planets. This tells me that although news may initially rattle you, if you stay calm, you can have a good ending by the time the month is over. Actually, a friend may be quite helpful at this time by providing the right solution.
With so many planets stacking up in your friendship house, it looks like you will be invited to a number of swanky parties. This year is really special, and even if you protest and say you never go to parties, all I can say is, get your outfits ready anyway!
Although all the action will take place from December 21 to 31, there is one day that comes as the month opens that I would like you to circle on your calendar.
That date will be December 1 when Jupiter will align with Venus, a rare and dazzling aspect that will bring you a pampering, fun event that you won't want to miss. This may be a career-related gathering, or one that is purely personal and fun - either would bring a touch of luxury. You need a night out - this could be your first one of the season.
Once you get to December 21, the heavy-duty emphasis on your career that was so evident since November 16 will begin to subside and you will be able to devote yourself fully to the joys of the season.
On December 24, when Mercury will be in superb angle to Uranus, you are due to get a surprise message that thrills you from a friend or parent. You may also receive a beautiful and touching gift from that person. Yet the affection a friend or relative has for you will be what you value most, more than any material thing could ever bring you. As a Pisces, you understand this of course, and may feel reminded of just how lucky you are to have this person in your life.
On December 26, a partner may be quite supportive and together you can build a plan for the future, thanks to the interplay of Mercury with Saturn. If you need a day to sign a contract, this would be your day to do so, as Saturn will see to it that any promises you make to one another will be promises that are kept. If you need to get a marriage license, this would be a great day to do so!
On Saturday, December 27, the new moon in your eleventh house of friends will ratchet up your level of socializing and fun even more! Simultaneously, Venus will conjoin with Neptune, which is one of the most glamorous and romantic aspects possible. Neptune rules Pisces, so this conjunction will have your name written all over it. Get ready for a bewitching evening, and more to come as the week continues!
The new moon will also arrive on this day, December 27, and will take the energy of the prevailing six planets in Capricorn and bring it together so that you can see and feel it clearly, in an exciting way. Expect outstanding opportunity and happiness to stem from the kindness of friends and by participating in groups that you may belong to as well.
If you have been considering joining a club, whether a social club or professional organization, do so in the week that follows this new moon, December 27, for superb rewards await you from your membership if you do. Truly, don't put this off - this aspect comes once every 12 years, so there would be something special to be gained from becoming a member, advantages you can't quite see at this time.
This holiday season you may also decide to help a charity by doing volunteer work, and if so, you would derive much pleasure from the work you do. You would also be able to demonstrate how effectively you can organize an event to produce solid results. If anyone underestimated you, with the star power you have going for you now, this person certainly won't for long. By month's end this naysayer will be speechless.
In all, December just brims with fun, friends, romantic episodes, and joyous feelings. Your favorite moment will come when Mercury conjoins Jupiter on December 31, which is, of course, New Year's Eve. Wow, dear Pisces, what timing!
On this glittering evening, the moon will also be in Pisces, laying the groundwork for a perfect evening to ring in the New Year. Even if you've always stayed home on New Year's, it appears you will be out and about and enjoying yourself to the fullest this year.
It appears that you'll be invited to a rather special party, one populated with many successful and well-dressed people. The conversation will be as bubbly as the fine champagne. The food, music, and soft lighting will add to the soft and gentle mood, and make this night one to remember. With a strong emphasis in Capricorn, the party would have a lovely old-fashioned quality about it, with lots of tradition woven through it. Perhaps it will be given at a proper university club, with wood-paneled walls and stained glass windows - the building could be a landmark in the town. The mood would be cozy and romantic, for sure. This sounds like a night you won't want to miss, dear Pisces!
If your birthday falls on February 25 or within five days of this date, you will have a double dip of fun.
No matter when your birthday happens to fall, it appears your friend will give the party on New Year's Eve, but if not, you can also consider giving the party. If you do, everyone will be buzzing about how talented you are at hosting, and how much fun it all was.
Summary
This month seems to have everything in it, and it will keep you on your toes. During the first three weeks, your career will demand almost all your attention, and rightfully so, for your successes will come quickly, one right after the other. Early December will be a great time to make career decisions. You may be interviewing for a new position or getting quite a bit of publicity for the hard work you've done in your career over the past two years.
A very difficult full moon, December 12, plus or minus four days, will immediately rivet your attention on your family or a home / property situation. I will not kid you - this full moon is a monster, for it will lash out at Saturn, Uranus, Mars, and the Sun. That's a lot of planets to take on at once, and all those planets will be quite literally in four different quarters of the sky at the time. Emotion will be high, and adjusting to unanticipated events will be hard, particularly if you were born near March 11, plus or minus five days.
You will need to do your holiday preparations early so that you have a completely empty calendar at midmonth. There is no way you can handle more than that full moon - you will have to drop everything once news hits. By the time you resume your life, it will be December 17 or 18 or even later, and the pressure to get things done for the holiday will be unbearable. Be smart and get shopping, wrapping, and shipping done by the December 6-7 weekend. If you plan to put up a tree, do it that weekend. If you have family members, especially children, who are depending on you to make a holiday tradition for them, you will absolutely need to be ahead of schedule.
Still, remain optimistic. Mercury rules your home and family sector, and Mercury will be meeting with every big planet on your behalf during December's second half. Mercury may well have good news to bring you on December 24, 26, and 31, so hang in there! This month has more twists and turns than a Hitchcock movie. As stormy as the full moon will be at midmonth, brilliant sunshine is due at month's end, so keep the faith.
The last ten days of the month will find you surrounded by literally dozens, if not hundreds, of friends and happy people. Many will be people who adore you and who will be celebrating the arrival of the New Year with you. It will be a truly heartwarming time, when friends will show you how dearly you are loved and admired. You will have many career successes to celebrate by then, too. Lift your champagne glass and toast life. You have every reason to be excited about 2009!

Dear Readers,
Astrology Zone® was born on December 14, 1995, thirteen years ago! That means we debuted three years before Google, which makes me giggle every time I think about it! Astrology Zone's® success is due to YOU dear readers. Thank you very much for all your enthusiasm, support and ideas that you send us.
This year brought my own TV show on Comcast, on demand, which is very exciting! If you have Comcast you can see a new show each week, any time you want, "on demand." Just go to "Cutting Edge" and then to "Paranormal" and look for "Horoscopes." That's me! In America, there never has been an astrology program provided by a major cable operator or network. True! Never in the history of the country! There has been public access but nothing produced as beautifully has the show Comcast is doing, and I am very grateful. On a more serious note, in this holiday season, I would like to urge you to consider giving the gift of life, a pint of blood, at your local blood supply center.
Many of you know that I was the recipient of 38 blood transfusions at various points in my life. I don't have hemophilia but instead was born with a rare, life-threatening internal bleeding disorder that affected my left leg and hip. In my teen years through early adulthood, I spent a great deal of time in hospitals, but doctors were successful in fixing my problem completely. I was very grateful for the kindness of 38 strangers who had donated blood that I was to receive.
I will spend the rest of my life trying to thank those people. Please help me by continuing the tradition and giving blood, too, this holiday season. In these tough economic times we are all trying to find ways to give to charities in affordable ways. I can think of no better gift than giving a pint of blood, the gift of life. Blood supplies go down at holiday time, so blood banks are always in dire need of donations at this time of the year.
One of our staff members, Edward Rubinstein, who handles our press contact, is a big blood donor. The New York Blood Center regularly honors high-level donors at black tie dinners and Edward is always among those invited. A Cancer, he is bashful about getting attention about this, and says "it's nothing" but we think he is doing amazing work, and we are so VERY proud of him! It is an Astrology Zone® tradition to go, as a group, to the blood bank at this time of the year. We all have lunch together afterwards. Edward gives blood ten times more often than we do, for the Blood Bank calls Edward directly when they are in need. He is truly a good person, and he inspires us all deeply.
On another subject, this particular holiday season, I urge you to be sensitive to those around you. These are tough times and there probably is someone near you who is suffering but is too shy to let you know. It may be a beloved relative, friend, neighbor or a coworker.
Listen closely to what this person says to you, for this person will be trying to hide their need for help. Fill in the blanks between the words to find subtle clues. Sometimes doing simple things, like spontaneously inviting a neighbor for a home cooked dinner, or paying for a daily newspaper delivery to a bedridden relative, is all you need to do to touch that person's heart.
I have a bit of a surprise for you that I have been working on for several months. Here goes!

Watch Susan Deliver Your Forecast On TV Each Week
Comcast Cable TV now features me (Susan Miller) on their "On Demand" channel. If you're a Comcast Cable subscriber and already have their On Demand package, you can see me deliver your forecast each week for free.

Every carrier works a little differently, so here are the instructions for you:
Verizon Wireless and T-Mobile customers: When you text AZP to 75777, you will receive a text message back with step-by-step instructions on how to download the application.
Example: Verizon customers are told to go to "Get it Now," then "Tools on the Go," then "Mind, Body & Soul," and then select Astrology Zone® Premier™. So, Verizon customers will have to actually exit the Text Message and go back into the menu on their phone. This is something that you, as a Verizon customer, have to do to get any application, so it's not a new process, and it's worth the effort!
AT&T and Sprint customers: When you text AZP to 75777, you will receive a text message back that includes a link to the application. It is a more direct process than the one outlined above.
Not all phones are equipped to take the new technology, so check first with your provider and explain which phone you own. If you purchased a cell phone in the past year, chances are your phone is ready.
iPhone: Our application is READY!! Go the Apple's App store and search for "Astrology Zone® Premier™"! I have it on my iPhone and it's very robust!
Every carrier sets their own rates, so check with your provider to find out what Astrology Zone® Premier™ would cost for you. I can say it's very affordable, and that I give you much more information than competitive services.
You will be able to choose when you want your text forecasts to arrive - the morning of the day of the forecast, or the night before. You're in charge, always!
