Sagittarius Horoscope for December 2008

Rarely have you felt more energetic and more in control of your life. Mars, the energy planet, is now in Sagittarius and making you feel like you can leap tall buildings in a single bound. Mars only comes around to visit your sign every two years, and when it does, Mars gives you plenty of get-up-and-go, as well as courage and determination. You'll be capable of developing a razor-sharp plan for success and you'll accomplish much. You will have Mars to yourself until December 27, so until then you will find yourself in your strongest period of the year.
December happens to be the ONLY month of the year where ALL of the planets will be traveling in strong, sure orbit, and with none in retrograde. You have an open road, which is exceedingly rare. Retrograde planets are planets that are resting or in a weakened state, not emitting strong vibrations.
Mercury, the planet of communication and contracts, and the planet that governs buying and selling, will not go retrograde until next month, on January 11. Admittedly, Saturn will retrograde on December 31 at 2 PM EST, but because Saturn rules authority figures and profits, it is unlikely that you will be negotiating much of anything on New Year's Eve. For all practical purposes, you are looking at an excellent month to make progress in December.
On top of all this, you will also have the power of the new moon in Sagittarius that appeared last month on November 29. As the month opens, the energy of that new moon will still be exerting a strong, favorable flow as the month opens, and it will enable you to take the lead in all areas.
Think of this new moon as your birthday gift from a caring universe. This new moon will be a portal that will open you up to several wonderful opportunities, on many levels. Each month I list new moons to show you where opportunity will come to you, shown by the house of the chart where the new moon falls.
This one will appear in the first house, ruling your identity and your personal desires and dreams. As you see, only you would know precisely what those would be! See this new moon as a lovely gift, to direct its energy in any area that you deem meaningful to you. This new moon will be strong in December's first week, so that's when you must act.
If your birthday falls on or within five days of November 27, you will feel the benefits of this new moon even more than most. This would also be true if you have planets at 6 degrees of an air or fire sign. If you don't know your natal chart then just watch to see how things work out. You won't have to wait long - things should start rolling the moment the month opens. Indeed, you'll know if you get a special advantage - it will be clear as day. Assume you will!
In order to make these advantageous aspects work for you, it will be important to make initiations and inquiries in the first week of December, for that is when your persuasive ability and your luck will be strongest.
As you get closer to December 10 through 15, you will notice relationship turbulence that you probably never expected. Very difficult aspects will prevail at that time, and although I wish I did not have to report this, especially at holiday time, I don't want you to feel unprepared for what's to come.
On December 10, the Sun and Uranus will be at very harsh angles, bringing news that comes out of left field. People around you will be touchy, especially one in particular, but the individual in question will become even more so as you get closer to the full moon, December 12, plus or minus three days.
This full moon will light your house of close, formal relationships, so you will be vulnerable to news from the other party you are tied to. This person will be someone who means a great deal to you, or once did, and will now cause quite a bit of unexpected emotional angst. This person may be a close business partner or collaborator, an expert you hired, or it may be a competitor, critic, or detractor.
If you are married, it may be your spouse who causes you to become upset, or it could be someone you are dating if you have formed a close, serious, established relationship. It could even be a past partner or soon-to-be ex.
Something between you is reaching critical mass but when it does, you won't see it coming. I am so sorry to have to report this situation, dear Sagittarius.
Saturn will be in hard angles to this full moon, suggesting that an authority figure at work, or a parent, may be demanding or in need of your attention at the very same time.
Uranus will be involved with this full moon too, and is now traveling in your home sector. Keep an eye on your home, parents, real estate, and leases, as well as a roommate or tenant if you have one (or more).
Saturn will also be at very sharp angles to this full moon, so Saturn will bring on a pressured situation on the job, too. (If it helps, everyone will be feeling the tough effects of this full moon.)
Despite what is going on at home and at work, the person who is at the crux of the situation will be a partner - his or her identity is as described earlier. This person won't keep his or her feelings inside or be subtle. No, this person will be quite vocal. I am sorry to say you need to be prepared for a very unnerving situation.
Since it will be apparent that the center clearly won't hold (whatever that center might be), you might want to be philosophical. If you suffer a breakup or feel a different kind of loss as a result of this full moon, this episode may indicate that the relationship or situation is simply not worth saving. See how you feel, for only you would know best. If a relative becomes ill (unlikely, but possible) then it would be a situation that you would want to jump into immediately, and of course your involvement would possibly save the situation. After this episode is over, you will feel better and will be able to see your future with greater certainty.
Try to avoid all big meetings or presentations during this week - you will need all the time you have to deal with whatever comes up.
If your birthday falls on December 12 or within three days of this date, you will likely feel the fallout of the energies swirling about at the time. It will be hard to anticipate all that will come up because Uranus always brings strange or completely unanticipated developments.
Now let's get to the really good news that I have in store for you! Enough talk about this full moon! What I have to say should make you very happy!
Financially, your fortunes will simply rocket off the charts this month! Much of your hard work over the past months and years will be rewarded now, and your fantastic money news should arrive shortly. The money you see will be money you earned, not have won, although the house so brilliantly lit also rules gifts. You may be the recipient of really beautiful gifts, or you may get news of a large check due.
Your financial prospects glow all month, for planets are migrating to this house to wish Jupiter, planet of good fortune, adieu. Jupiter has been in this area of your chart all year, but spent much of the time recently in retrograde. Jupiter awakened on September 8, and since then you've been building momentum.
Before Jupiter leaves this house, he will shower you with radiant financial luck in December through the first few days of January. A party of planets comprised of Mars, Pluto, Mercury, Jupiter, the Sun, and new moon (as of December 27) will demonstrate to you just how powerful this trend will be.
Your first indication that your fortunes are about to rise will come on December 1 when Venus and Jupiter will combine forces. This aspect comes only once a year, always in a different place in your chart. This time it'll be your income and possessions (second) house. Someone really cares about you and wants to show appreciation to you - you'll see how much so on this day!
Next, watch for good news on December 24, when Mercury will receive a beam from Uranus. Again a gift or check seems destined to find you, and when it does, quite unexpectedly, this particular gift or check will blow your mind. This one may be given to you from one of your parents, or news may center on a property situation that represents a break-through. You'll be happy, for sure. The moon in Sagittarius will only heighten your joy.
On December 26, a link between Mercury and Saturn will bring more financial reward. A meeting should go really well or you may receive a phone call, email, or letter that makes you very happy indeed.
Your good luck won't be over yet, not by a long shot. In fact, you'll just be cranking up. On December 27, you will have the new moon in your second house of income, certainly the best moment of the month. A new moon packages the prevailing energy and pushes things forward. This is a major point in the month - watch the days that follow. You will have ten days to make key initiations. Pay close attention to the phone calls that you get and the meetings you have in the days that follow this pivotal point in the month.
It's hard to believe it, but there will be still MORE good financial news, right up to December 31, New Year's Eve! That's when the most generous gift ever may arrive. Mercury and Jupiter, planet of gifts and luck, will conjoin in a rare cosmic conjunction. New Year's Eve appears to be your biggest day for a gift or a check to arrive. What a great way to end the year!
For those who celebrate Christmas, this year, lucky you, Christmas brings the moon to Sagittarius. You will be in the center of all that happens.
Romantically, your strong confidence in yourself will be very attractive - so much so that your belief in yourself will act like a sexy aphrodisiac.
With Mars in your sign from December 1-27 and Venus perfectly positioned in Aquarius from December 7 to January 3, you'll sparkle as beautifully as the lights on the trees at this time of year. You won't have to try hard - just be out and about, attending parties and other gatherings. Nature will take its course, so no worries. YOU will be incredibly popular!
By December 31 you'll be in a celebratory mood. You will have, by then, plenty of evidence that you are successful and that many admirers adore you. This should be a happy holiday for you.
Summary
You have a huge advantage this month, for Mars, the great warrior and energizer planet, is in Sagittarius for the first time in two years. Mars will now urge you to start a fresh new two-year cycle, so before he leaves on December 27, you will have extraordinary favor. You must decide how to direct this energy, for if you don't, you risk squandering it.
You actually have a potentially productive month because it won't be until next month, January 11 through February 1, that Mercury will retrograde.
To make the most of December, you will first need to get through the unruly full moon, December 12, operative plus or minus four days from this date. The closer your birthday falls to this date, the more likely you are to feel the effects of this full moon. Undeniably it is a tough one.
This full moon will fall in your seventh house of partnership, so that's where your main focus should be directed. This full moon also sends very angry vibrations to Uranus, currently in your home and family sector, an area that has been fairly unstable for some time.
To make things just a bit worse, at the same time, the full moon will also lash out at your career sector, where someone in authority will challenge you for what you'll say at precisely the wrong time. With this person making demands, and deadlines looming, you are likely to feel very pressured.
The person in question may even be someone you hired for a top VIP position if you are the boss, or it may be an investor or top customer if you own the business. With all areas of your chart on fire at the same time, you won't know where to take your bucket of water first. Try as hard as you can to keep your cool.
All areas will need attention, but as said previously, your significant other or business associate / partner should get first billing. That's where the full moon will fall, so that indicates what is reaching a culmination now.
The seventh house is not only the house of contractual, committed partnerships but also the house of open critics, competitors, and detractors. If you have an "open enemy," as the old ancient astrologers used to call these people, this person will be very vocal. You have Mars in Sagittarius, however, so you'll be ready to stand up to any confrontation - maybe too ready! Try not to come on too strong!
Your career situation, despite the little impasse you may experience this month, appears to be quite sound. Mercury is the natural ruler of your solar tenth house of professional standing, and during the second half of December, Mercury will have a number of fantastic meetings on your behalf. Those meetings will all involve your salary, and as each day passes, more good news will roll in. You should leave this month a good deal richer than when you entered it!
The first remarkable day will be December 24, when you'd never expect good news to come to you about your professional standing. It's a holy holiday, but even so, you will have something to celebrate anyway - perhaps a letter that was sent earlier will arrive in your mailbox. This news will come out of the blue, because Mercury will conjoin Uranus, planet of surprise.
Then, on December 26, Mercury will map out a long-range plan with Saturn. The result will be comforting stability for your career - it's all for good!
Your BEST career and money news will arrive on New Year's Eve! On December 31, Mercury will meet with the giver of gifts and luck, Jupiter - it will be an incredible day! You'll have plenty to celebrate as the New Year arrives!
Truly, you will end the month feeling VERY positive about your financial condition.
The month ends with the appearance of a vitally important new moon, December 27, which will arrive with a huge entourage - Pluto, Jupiter, Mars, Mercury, the Sun - and together this gang will create a cornucopia of good news for you about money. If ever there were a time to ask for a raise, do so on Monday, December 29, if you are working, or the day you get back in January if you are on holiday. (Hopefully, you will be back to work quickly, as January 2 is your next spectacular day.)
Jupiter will leave your earned income sector on January 5, early in the day, not to return for 12 years. When it comes to raking in the big bucks, you must ask for your raise quickly - don't put this off! Yes, you will earn more money in the next 12 years, but with Jupiter at your side during those early days of January, you could see a much larger raise than you ever have before.
It looks like you'll be ready to dance on the tables on New Year's Eve. You will have plenty to be proud to have accomplished in 2008! Pat yourself on the back, dear Sagittarius!

This year brought my own TV show on Comcast, on demand, which is very exciting! If you have Comcast you can see a new show each week, any time you want, "on demand." Just go to "Cutting Edge" and then to "Paranormal" and look for "Horoscopes." That's me! In America, there never has been an astrology program provided by a major cable operator or network. True! Never in the history of the country! There has been public access but nothing produced as beautifully has the show Comcast is doing, and I am very grateful. On a more serious note, in this holiday season, I would like to urge you to consider giving the gift of life, a pint of blood, at your local blood supply center.
Many of you know that I was the recipient of 38 blood transfusions at various points in my life. I don't have hemophilia but instead was born with a rare, life-threatening internal bleeding disorder that affected my left leg and hip. In my teen years through early adulthood, I spent a great deal of time in hospitals, but doctors were successful in fixing my problem completely. I was very grateful for the kindness of 38 strangers who had donated blood that I was to receive.
I will spend the rest of my life trying to thank those people. Please help me by continuing the tradition and giving blood, too, this holiday season. In these tough economic times we are all trying to find ways to give to charities in affordable ways. I can think of no better gift than giving a pint of blood, the gift of life. Blood supplies go down at holiday time, so blood banks are always in dire need of donations at this time of the year.
One of our staff members, Edward Rubinstein, who handles our press contact, is a big blood donor. The New York Blood Center regularly honors high-level donors at black tie dinners and Edward is always among those invited. A Cancer, he is bashful about getting attention about this, and says "it's nothing" but we think he is doing amazing work, and we are so VERY proud of him! It is an Astrology Zone® tradition to go, as a group, to the blood bank at this time of the year. We all have lunch together afterwards. Edward gives blood ten times more often than we do, for the Blood Bank calls Edward directly when they are in need. He is truly a good person, and he inspires us all deeply.
On another subject, this particular holiday season, I urge you to be sensitive to those around you. These are tough times and there probably is someone near you who is suffering but is too shy to let you know. It may be a beloved relative, friend, neighbor or a coworker.
Listen closely to what this person says to you, for this person will be trying to hide their need for help. Fill in the blanks between the words to find subtle clues. Sometimes doing simple things, like spontaneously inviting a neighbor for a home cooked dinner, or paying for a daily newspaper delivery to a bedridden relative, is all you need to do to touch that person's heart.
I have a bit of a surprise for you that I have been working on for several months. Here goes!

Every carrier works a little differently, so here are the instructions for you:
Verizon Wireless and T-Mobile customers: When you text AZP to 75777, you will receive a text message back with step-by-step instructions on how to download the application.
Example: Verizon customers are told to go to "Get it Now," then "Tools on the Go," then "Mind, Body & Soul," and then select Astrology Zone® Premier™. So, Verizon customers will have to actually exit the Text Message and go back into the menu on their phone. This is something that you, as a Verizon customer, have to do to get any application, so it's not a new process, and it's worth the effort!
AT&T and Sprint customers: When you text AZP to 75777, you will receive a text message back that includes a link to the application. It is a more direct process than the one outlined above.
Not all phones are equipped to take the new technology, so check first with your provider and explain which phone you own. If you purchased a cell phone in the past year, chances are your phone is ready.
iPhone: Our application is READY!! Go the Apple's App store and search for "Astrology Zone® Premier™"! I have it on my iPhone and it's very robust!
Every carrier sets their own rates, so check with your provider to find out what Astrology Zone® Premier™ would cost for you. I can say it's very affordable, and that I give you much more information than competitive services.
You will be able to choose when you want your text forecasts to arrive - the morning of the day of the forecast, or the night before. You're in charge, always!
